BONADENT NAMES US PREMIER PRACTICE | CAPE ELIZABETH DENTIST

We are so honored and humbled for the below article.  We'll keep this short since the article is a couple paragraphs!

BonaDent congratulates Dr. David Jacobson, DDS and his entire staff at Two Lights Dental in Cape Elizabeth, ME for being named our Premier Practice for December 2016! We’ve extended this honor to Dr. Jacobson because we admire his talent as a clinician and his passion for dentistry. His reliance on our lab to to deliver a wide variety of restorative techniques shows a true commitment offering the best for his patients.

A Long Island native, Dr. Jacobson earned his BA in Biology from the University of Vermont in 1993 and attended dental school at NYU School of Dentistry from 1993–1997. Dr. Jacobson always knew he’d be in the healthcare field, he explains on his website, but “when I was in the waiting room before having my wisdom teeth removed, it was like a light bulb went off and I realized the dental field was the direction that I wanted to pursue.”

After a one-year General Practice Residency at North Shore University Hospital, Dr. Jacobson moved to Vermont to work in a large group practice in St. Johnsbury where he was able to work with and learn from a skilled group of professionals and mentors. While at St. Johnsbury Dental, he specialized in crown, bridge and cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and removable prosthodontics.

Dr. Jacobson is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Maine Dental Society, the Greater Portland Dental Society, Casco Bay Study Club, and South Portland Buy Local. He has traveled to the Dominican Republic and Jamaica to do outreach programs and has volunteered to provide free dental care to Maine residents through the Dentists Who Care for ME program. To stay up-to-date with the latest dental techniques and materials, Dr. Jacobson enrolls in continuing education classes annually. He makes every effort to become as educated in dentistry as he can, and exceeds the state-mandated minimum requirements for continuing education.

In 2006, Dr. Jacobson moved to Cape Elizabeth in southern Maine where the Cape Elizabeth community and South Portland Buy Local have given him a new sense of awareness of the local economy. Whether it’s purchasing supplies and services needed for his practice, or sponsoring local teams and charitable events, Dr. Jacobson does what he can to support local businesses.

Dr. Jacobson’s two boys, Gabe and Liam, always keep their dad laughing and on his toes. While hiking and skiing have always been mainstays in his active lifestyle, Dr. Jacobson enjoys biking, running, and swimming at the Richards Community Pool in Cape Elizabeth. Each October, Dr. Jacobson’s friends and neighbors can always count on his growing collection of spooky displays and Halloween decorations.

Congratulations again to Dr. Jacobson and his team at Two Lights! Visit their website for more information. To schedule an appointment, call (207) 767-3241.
