Veneers and Implants

Veneers

You may opt for customized porcelain veneers or laminates if you have broken, chipped, stained or discolored teeth. Veneers improve the color, shape, and alignment of your teeth in just a few visits. A veneer is a thin covering of porcelain chemically bonded to your teeth to enhance your smile. Unlike crowns, which encase the whole tooth, a veneer is bonded to just the front surface. Veneers offer the most natural tooth appearance, and are a stronger, more stain resistant alternative to bonding.

Bonding

Bonding is a procedure that uses white or tooth-colored composite filling materials to brighten your smile. If there are gaps between teeth, or if you have misshapen, discolored, decayed, or chipped teeth, bonding can make both cosmetic and structural improvements.

This method is more cost effective in treating compromised teeth than veneers or crowns, but can be prone to stains with continued consumption of coffee, tea, and red wine, or with frequent smoking.

Implants

Dental implants replace missing teeth, preserve bone levels, prevent teeth from shifting, and restore functionality. An implant is a titanium post that acts like the root of a tooth. We work closely with an oral surgeon or periodontist, who will usually place the implant. Once the implant has integrated into the bone and fully healed, we take impressions and build a crown on top of the implant. This highly successful procedure creates the appearance of a tooth emerging from the gums, providing you with a very natural looking, durable tooth.
